MASKS

Masks-

Masks. Our masks are made of various materials- Latex, Silicone, Plastics, Fiberglass, Epoxies, Foam or a combination thereof.

They are designed to be professional quality and are made so they can be sanitized inside, offer good visibility potential (This is affected by fit and body structure) and ventilation. The paint jobs are done in such a way that they will take more abuse and use in a professional haunt environment.

Most of our masks include zippers or other ways to don and doff with greater ease, and we supply instructions on how to customize fit for various size performers. We try to give maximum head circumference sizes of a given mask when possible, but these measurements must be taken with a grain of salt as head SHAPE will also affect wearability.

For those who are mask collectors, we can offer display versions, foam filled and mounted on a base. These feature extra detailed paint jobs as well. Typically a display head costs $150 more than a regular mask. This offsets the cost of the flexible foam filling, punched hair details and more. These cannot be made into wearable masks once turned into display pieces and are more for collectors than performers.

Latex will always be cheaper than silicone, but lacks expression and movement. Silicone masks will have a DEGREE of expression and movement but are very snug and some performers find them a bit claustrophobic. Some have an exposed mouth and chin area which, when combined with makeup can offer the best of both worlds with regards to extreme look changes, but allow more range of expression and mouth movement. Especially good for characters intended to speak.

Be sure you know how to take care of your masks, and do care for them properly for longest life and best appearance. Avoid repeated rubbing of the outside of ANY mask for best longevity of appearance, and do not pull or stretch openings. NEVER cut a silicone mask!
